Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world with a height of 8848 meters above the Mk.1 is located in the Himalayas, in Asia, and marks the border between Nepal and China. In Nepal it is called Sagarmatha ("The front of heaven") and China Chomolungma or Qomolangma Feng ("Mother of the Universe"). The mountain was named after George Everest, Welsh geographer, in 1865.
